Qualified candidates must be undergraduates, recent graduates, or graduate students in journalism, marketing, communication, science writing, health communication, or another relevant field. They should also have a strong interest in writing about healthcare topics.
The Web Content Intern is all about making sure that the content is:
- Compelling for the target audience
- Consistent with the client’s goals
- Delivered on time
- Written with promotion in mind
The Web Content Intern is:
- An aspiring researcher, content marketer, and creative writer
- Genuinely interested in the clinical, social, financial, and emotional aspects of healthcare
- Excited about researching healthcare topics and interviewing medical professionals and patients
- Comfortable working with a remote team, striking a balance between working independently and communicating effectively with team members
- An avid learner who is not afraid to ask questions and uses feedback to improve their skill set
The Web Content Intern will be responsible for:
- Creating original content for clients and CareContent (includes editorial calendars, web content, podcast outlines, social media posts)
- Conducting necessary research using suitable sources for each topic assigned
- Uploading content and media to WordPress or another CMS, depending on the client
- Transcribing source interviews and videos as needed
- Storyboarding video content
The Web Content Intern will learn how to:
- Use software like Google Suite, monday.com, WordPress, Hootsuite
- Decipher medical information from clinical sources
- Properly source information
- Write spot-on first drafts
- Craft content for easy navigation on any device
- Communicate with subject matter experts
- Optimize content for search engines
