My interest in health and healthcare information came during my husband’s cancer diagnosis when I was 6 months pregnant with our first kid.
In that season, I spent hours nose deep in cancer case studies and tips on how to prepare for a baby. (For the latter, I learned that you’re never really ready. The kid just shows up and you figure it out somehow.)
I remember being thankful and overwhelmed with the amount of healthcare information out there. Some good. Some not so good.
I would never choose serious illness for myself or anyone, but I’m super thankful for the ways it taught me how to empathize with people in similar situations. I love the work we do at CareContent because my hope is that we’re able to help others who are feeling as overwhelmed as I was.
Before CareContent, I studied Business Administration at the University of Michigan Business School. Professionally, my background is in consulting and corporate communications. I was also a writer for CareContent for a short stint and am now doing project management. This is perfect for me because I love making lists. And what I love even more is getting things done and crossing them off my list.
