Web Content Intern

Qualified candidates must be undergraduate or graduate students in journalism, communication, science writing, health communication, another relevant field, or have extensive experience researching and writing about healthcare topics. Part-time interns are paid a flat monthly stipend of $800 per month. Full-time interns are paid a flat monthly stipend of $1,600 per month.

This position will begin between April and June, depending on the intern’s availability, and continue for 6 months after. It may become a full-time permanent position at the conclusion of the internship.

Duties

The Web Content Intern will be responsible for …

  • Generating content ideas for clients and for the CareContent website
  • Creating content for client websites, blogs, and social media and CareContent blog and social media, i.e. researching, writing, editing, and proofreading the content
  • Ensuring that client content is delivered on time and promoted on social media
  • Proofreading for typos and fact-checking content from content specialists
  • Uploading and editing content (including media) to WordPress backend for clients and for the CareContent site
  • Transcribing source interviews, as needed
  • Transcribing videos and podcasts and uploading transcription to WordPress
